Episode 1 : Nancy - Eat Here
"Hello!" she said waiting for the clerk to pop out of some corner again. "Are you there?"
"Of course I am here, I work here. I wish I could just leave but" the man began to mumble.
"Sir the women in the restroom there is sick, really sick. I think she needs an ambulance." she said with urgency.
"What women? I don't remember any one going in there besides you."
"Sir! She needs help!" Nacy exclaimed backing away from the bathrooms. She tripped over an advertisement that was in the end of the nearest isle. She fell on her butt. As she began to get up from her fall she read the sign she had tripped over. She read the words "Eat here" in large font. Nacy was overcome by embarrassment, and she climbed back to her feet. "Look!" She exclaimed, starring daggers at the gas station clerk. She brushed off dirt from her pant suit, "I don't think it can wait. There is a woman in there who seriously needs some help." looking back towards the restroom expecting to hear some sort of noise of pain coming from the sick women.
"Sure, I'll take care of it ma'am. Don't you worry I'll get help here to take care of her." he said heading toward the phone.
"Thanks" She said shocked in how easy he changed his tune.
Looking out the store window she saw that Howard had finished and they were waiting on her. She hopped that an ambulance would be able to help the sick woman, but something about the way the woman was just standing in the corner freaked her a little. All she wanted to do was to get out of there. She headed out the door, looking back at the clerk one last time before she left. He was on a phone heading towards the restroom.
As she headed out to the car she noticed that none of the cars had moved since she had been there. She let out a confused sigh as she opened the door. "Is everything ok honey?" Howard said making a face as if she was sick. "Yea." looking back at him with a worried look on her face. "Let's just get out of here, ok?"
"Sure." he said driving the car forward.
Looking back at the children she saw that they had been playing a game of eye spy. The smiles on their faces put her back at ease. She saw little Anna looking around the car with wonder in her eyes and Jeremy holding back a smile. She had so much hope for them, to grow up and to be happy.
