Episode 1 : Anna - Road Trip
As they drove off, Ana looked out the window. Watching the trees pass by the car she saw a small bird diving through the sky. It looked like a meteor of brown feathers with sharp talons rushing towards the trees below. In a split second Ana saw it had a sickle shaped beak and a bullet shaped body with streamlined tail feathers guiding its trajectory as it plummeted to the earth. She never saw a bird dive so violently like this before. It intrigued her. She loved learning about new animals, especially one that could move this fast, and this precise. Mom always told her she was observant because she would notice things that older people wouldn't.
Bouncing in her seat in excitement she wanted to ask Jeremy what kind of bird it was. Pulling his shirt sleeve she said "Jeremy, look at the birdie", but he brushed her away.
"Not now Ana" he groaned, rolling away from her and shutting his eyes.
She decided to tell him about it when he woke up. She made a bird with her hands, flapping her fingers as if they were wings. Ana imagined what it would be like to dive through the air, the air rushing past her face and over her body as she soared towards the ground.
Her parents were talking in the front seats. Mom looked upset. She leaned forward so she could hear their conversation. "Idiots going to get someone killed" she heard mom say. Making her hands dive towards her legs Ana began chanting "Idiots, Idiots, they get people killed" in a playful tone.
Looking out the window she noticed they were stopping at a gas station.
